YOU: Start Where You Are, Do What You Can
Few years back while I was walking up to the Sherabling Monastry (in pic below) in Bir – Billing along with my sister, I casually told her that I wish to write. “A book, you mean?”, she asked. “I am not sure, and I don’t even have anything chalked out.” With this absolute vague notion, I anxiously uttered – “even if I write, who would it be for?” “FOR YOU. Isn’t that a reason good enough for you to at least get started.”, she said in a voice brimming with compassion. It is funny how someone makes you aware of things that you know already but are hesitant to bring into practice or even consider.
